D.J. Larrouse the founder of Tank Depot, has been in manufacturing and selling plastic tanks for 30 years. The first Tank Depot retail store was opened in Florida in 1998. The second store opened in Rhode Island in 2000, and a third store opened in Houston, TX in 2003. There are plans to open three more stores by the spring of 2004.
